Reminders
I'm not getting reminders
- In Homesake, open Settings and check Reminders is on.
- On your iPhone, open Settings › Notifications › Homesake and check Allow Notifications is on.
- Reminders arrive at the time set in Homesake, in your phone's time zone, on the day a job is due.
- Focus modes can hold notifications back. Check Settings › Focus if they arrive late.
Can I change the reminder time?
Yes. Open Settings › Reminders in Homesake and pick a time. It applies to every job.
Your data
How do I move to a new phone?
- On your old phone, open Settings › Back up and save the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone, such as iCloud Drive or Files.
- Install Homesake on the new phone, open Settings › Restore from backup and choose that file.
Is my data backed up automatically?
Homesake keeps everything on your phone and has no account or cloud copy. Your normal iPhone backup includes it. For an extra copy, use Settings › Back up now and then.
How do I delete everything?
Delete rooms or items in the app, or delete the app itself to remove everything it stored. We hold no copy, so there's nothing to ask us to remove.
Using Homesake
How do I add the widget?
- Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit in the top corner, then Add Widget, and search for Homesake.
- Pick a size and tap Add Widget.
- For the Lock Screen: touch and hold it, tap Customise, choose Lock Screen, tap the widget area and pick Homesake.
I skipped Quick setup. Can I go back to it?
Yes. Open My Home and tap Add from quick setup to tick what you have at any time.
I marked a job done by mistake
Tap Undo in the message that appears straight after. If it has gone, open the task and change Next due to the date you want.
How do I export a logbook?
Open Settings › Home logbook (PDF). It lists every item, its schedule and every finished job with costs and notes, ready to save or share.
